These terms govern your use of theartofdesign.be and any enquiry you submit through it. Please read them before using this website.

This website is published and operated by Tomas De Bruyne BV, with registered office at St-Elooisstraat 105, 8020 Ruddervoorde – Oostkamp, Belgium, registered with the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises under number 0469.189.097 and VAT number BE 0469.189.097.

The Art of Design is written by Tomas De Bruyne and published by Pelckmans Uitgevers NV (ISBN 978 94 6530 324 6).

This website is intended to present and promote the publication. The books offered through the purchase links on this website are sold by Pelckmans Uitgevers NV, not by Tomas De Bruyne or the operator of this website.

2. Using this website

You may browse this site and share links to it freely. You may not copy, reproduce, scrape or republish its text, photography, film, page spreads or chapter artwork without prior written permission.

The book’s interior pages and photography shown on this website are reproduced for the purpose of presenting the publication. All intellectual property rights remain with the respective rights holders, including the author, the publisher and the individual photographers or other contributors credited on this site.

3. Orders and payment

When you select a purchase option and continue to checkout, you leave this website and complete your purchase through the sales platform operated by or on behalf of Pelckmans Uitgevers NV.

The operator of this website does not process payments, issue invoices, fulfil orders or deliver books.

Your contract of sale is concluded directly with the seller identified during the purchase process. All matters relating to payment, invoicing, availability, shipping, delivery, returns, refunds, applicable taxes, duties and after-sales service are governed by the seller’s applicable terms and policies and are confirmed during the purchase process.

Where a reference price is displayed on this website, it is provided for information purposes only. The final price, availability, shipping costs, applicable taxes and any duties are those confirmed by the seller before you complete your purchase.

4. Withdrawal, returns and refunds

Any statutory or contractual right of withdrawal, cancellation, return or refund in relation to the purchase of a book is governed by the applicable terms and policies of the seller with whom you conclude the purchase.

As the operator of this website is not the seller of the book, requests concerning cancellations, returns, refunds, damaged goods, incorrect deliveries or other order-related matters should be addressed to the seller or customer service contact identified during the purchase process.

Nothing in these terms affects any mandatory consumer rights that may apply to your purchase.

5. Collector’s Edition, press and bulk enquiries

Joining the Collector’s Edition priority list is an expression of interest only. It does not constitute an order or reservation and creates no obligation on either party.

Press, rights and bulk enquiries are handled individually. Sending an enquiry does not create a contractual relationship or conclude an agreement.

Where you provide your contact details to receive information about the Collector’s Edition, we will process those details in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6. Liability

We take reasonable care to ensure that the information presented on this website is accurate and up to date and to keep the website available. However, we do not guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted, error-free or free from technical defects.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, this website.

We are not responsible for the content, availability, security or operation of third-party websites or platforms to which this website links, including the publisher’s sales platform.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by applicable law, including liability for intent, fraud or gross negligence.

This website may contain embedded content hosted by third parties, including Vimeo. The use of such third-party services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Applicable law

Belgian law applies to these terms and to the use of this website.

Any dispute relating to these terms shall be subject to the competent courts of Belgium, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules that may give you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in force.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this website at the time of your visit applies.
